Efavirenz vs. Lopinavir/Ritonavir for Initial Therapy
In a small nonrandomized study, open-label treatment with efavirenz and lopinavir/ritonavir resulted in similar peak CD4 counts and rates of virologic suppression; the efavirenz group had a higher CD4 count and a lower rate of AIDS at baseline.
