I can't stress enough as a single 48 year old female who is at high risk for anal dysplaisa, how I was not informed, not made aware, didn't even know there was an anal pap, until I went in for hemmorhoid removal surgery. The pathology report came back with severe dysplaisa. I am scheduled for a biopsy in two weeks. But, I AM OUTRAGED at the lack of knowledge in the medical profession. Especially since I had HPV 5 years ago and had a LEEP procedure. It is currenly showing back in my cervical pap. My provider gave me btw! Really? A by the way, you have HPV. Instead of you are at high risk and you need a colopscopy of the cervix and you should have an anal pap. Only because I have done extensive research on my own. I absolutely know more than my provider. MORE AWARENESS AND EDUCATION PLEASE!!!
