The WHO has taken the right desicion to statrt ARTY for all HIV and TB co Infected patients. What has to be kept in mind is the low level of income , and the potential toxicity of all drugs. It would be better if one a day pill is made available at lower costs to some patients. Stopping stavudine as a drug which is known to cause toxicity is also welcome but at the same time to show alternative to ZDV induced anemia.
